Bubbles and Kites

I found a solution to HImani's run away plan of hers when we play in the front yard. It has been to nice for us to stay inside but she keeps running in the street. We started playing out in the back on the lower patio from the basement. Yesterday we just had her car and chalk but today I decided we would make a quick run to target (it had to be quick shes done so good with potty training and with her wearing dora underwear I didn't want her to have an accident because she didn't want to use a public potty) We got a kite a big bubble wand and a bubble machine. She picked out the owl kite. It was small but a lot better quality than those plastic ones that rip real easy. I wasn't able to get a picture of her and the kite because I had to keep a hold of it too because she would let go when her hat flew off her head. I think it was a little to windy for the bubble machine because once they started forming they popped. But supposedly it makes really big ones and make them go high or something. The big wand worked good. All we had to do was hold it up and the wind did the rest.

She has been getting a lot of boo boos with going outside. She scraped her knee yesterday and then again today on the same knee. Also she got her leg stuck in her bed some how. She maybe slept 45 minutes before she woke up screaming her head off. It looked a lot worse at first but she has a couple bruises from it

Things she likes right now; shapes, dora, juice and puppies.

Couple things I have learned the last couple of days that obviously doesn't take a genius to figure out but I definitely think of it before hand. Add water to bubbles so they last longer. Not sure why I didn't think of it sooner, but when we went through half a thing of bubbles today it clicked. DUH. also tell a kid yogurt is ice cream and they will eat the whole thing.

^ I think she looks like a hula dancer the way shes standing and with her dress.

I think she is trying to model in this 1

And of course. Everyone loves a naked baby.

Meet Hank

Josh and I got a puppy this weekend. His name is Hank. He is a beagle mix. Not sure what else he is mixed with. His momma was saved from a kill shelter when she was pregnant right before she was going to be put to sleep. His mom was only about 16 lbs so we aren't expecting him to get to big. He isn't potty trained yet but hopefully he will be trained quickly. He hasn't met lilly or wilson yet because he hasn't had all his shots and those dogs are pretty big and wild. Heres some pictures

Lenny and Hank are going to be BFFs
Lilly's best friend was this monkey until she had her puppies. So Hank got it.

its a beautiful day

So since its "suppose" to snow this Saturday and it was a nice day today I figured we would try out a new park. We drove through Antioch park the other day to see what was even there anymore. They had neat stuff when I was a kid but it seemed better than i remembered after they took out some of the best club houses they use to have. My mom Addi and Josh met us. Josh has been staying at my parents house during the day because he was been off and rather not be at home by himself. We attempted to eat our lunch before we played. But Himani was too interested in playing. I wasn't sure if she would play because there were TONS of kids there. And usually if theres any1 else at a park while we are there she just stands there and watches them. She did pretty good playing but this little boy kept standing in front of the top of the slide and she was getting mad he wouldn't go. There wasn't enough baby swings there. We had to take our turns there was a bunch of older kids goofing around on them. Then we walked through all the little buildings/club houses they had there. Then we walked to the pond to check out the ducks. After playing Himani scarfed down her sandwich and raisins and took a long nap. The picture of HImani sitting on the log looking thing. It was suppose to be a horse. I guess that 1 lost its head. There was another 1 with the head still attached but there was too many kids crawling all over it.

UPDATE ON ABC'S: HImani repeats the letters but isn't really recognizing them. I think she is starting to get "O" though.

UPDATE ON COLORS: Everything is "pink" to her. I was thinking she really knew what pink was. But then she starting calling everything pink. Maybe she does. Or maybe that's her favorite color. But I asked her to get a pair of white socks out. She grabbed every other color once and then red about 5xs. O well we are getting there. She can repeat the basic colors anyways.

UPDATE ON MUSIC: I have been trying to listen more to the kiddy songs with her just so she knows what they are and maybe learn a simple song to sing soon. She likes doing the hand gestures with it. Lina's sister gave me the idea of looking up those songs on youtube and having a video to go along with it. So we do that sometimes and I get youtube on my phone, so thats nice. She doesn't really sing along with them other than ABC when we sing the alphabet. On the way home from the park "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin was on. She bobbed her head through the whole song. Thats the first I have seen her do that through an entire song. for the most part Himani has good taste in music so far.

UPDATE ON SHAPES: She recognizes stars and starting to recognize circles. Sometimes she says circle or sometimes she says ball. close enough for right now.

UPDATE ON EATING: still doesn't want to eat. even when chocolate is given to her.

UPDATE ON TALKING: she will say anything except "I love you" and "flower". Although I think she was attempting to say "love" today. She repeated something after me, but it didnt sound like love. She says "looonnng neck" for giraffe. how cute.

UPDATE ON PEOPLE SHE MISSES: She still asks where Masi went. She asks for meme and papa everyday. Today she said papa took a nap. And the other day she thought every truck that drove by was Gigi and George.

we may have a cheerleader on our hands...

^ the picture on top is himani out in the back yard. I pointed out that there was a boy across the street playing basketball ( you can hardly tell in the picture). She watched him and was jumping and hollering and then when he missed she would go whoooops. not sure if the boy heard her but he didnt stay outside to long. and he wasn't doing so good anyways so there were lots of whooops.

Himani took a nasty spill when she woke up from her nap. She took a 3 hour nap. Which seemed really long since I don't have homework with spring break. So when she woke up I was ready to do something. I figured we would go play in the basement something different we don't go down there to much. But with her car and tent and basketball hoop and hula hoop she had fun. But on the way down I opened the basement door and she saw her car. She got so excited and i dont know what happened but once she stepped on the first step it was slow motion and she toppled down the steps head first and sideways and oh it was painful to watch. She landed on the last couple of steps and I think it scared her more than hurt cause it took her a while to cry and she didnt cry for long but she did get a bloody lip. After that was cleaned up she said she was scared and we went back down and played.

oooo shes a little runaway

OOOOO Himani. She likes to run away from you. And lately shes been running into the street! The first couple of times there was no 1 around but today since its so nice outside the street is filled with cars from workers building and working on the houses around here. She thinks its a game. I dont know what to do. But once she does it I take her back inside. She doesn't like that.

But we have been enjoying the weather. Today we have played outside alot ate lunch on the back deck and went to the library. She was running away from me in there too. So she had to be carried around the whole time. The library isn't somewhere to be running around screaming. While we were checking out the only way I could get her to stay by me is when I gave her my wallet. She saw me take out the library card and scan it and then scan all the books. So she pulled all the cards I had in my wallet and tried to scan them. It was cute. She is doing awesome with her talking. Her biggest word she has tried to say is "mountain" she did a pretty good job trying to.

I took off the next two days for my 21st birthday! But I am swamped with 5 doctors/school appointments, 2 big tests to take, spring cleaning and going out to party. I hope I get it all done! I have several videos from my flip I need to get to my moms and upload onto here.

cbc = abc

The second picture is her playing in the "time out" area. When we are in the play room and she needs to be in time out. the play room isnt big enough to sit her aside where she isnt in an arm lengths distance of a toy. So I decided out in the hallway would be the best. But she likes being in time out. If i see her starting to do something like shes going to bite me Ill ask her if she wants to be in time out and her response is yes. And now she'll go out there and play and sit in the corner. Hmmm.... I guess she doesn't understand it just yet.

Himani is repeating EVERYTHING. Today she was trying to shoot some hoops and I said aw almost. So she kept trying and kept saying almost, almost, almost. And I am trying to get her to say everyone's name thats going to be staying at her house for her birthday. She repeated most of them.

We are singing lots of songs during the day. Like 5 little monkeys, abc's, little tea pot, patty cake, open shut them. I have been procrastinating and haven't gotten things to work with Himani on her alphabet but I have a really good excuse. Ha. Im swamped with homework all the time. Anyways I have flash cards on my phone so we look at the alphabet daily. And she will repeat all of them when I tell her to. She walks around going cbc cbc cbc. which means abc.

While she should of been taking a nap she was in her bed talking to herself instead. But this is what I kind of picked up on her talking about today
Neighhhhh Neighhhhh Neighhhhhh wheres the choo choo? where'd it go? where's masi? Josh Josh wheres Josh?
