long time no see

So time got away from me... I think that happens when you are in nursing school. I haven't done too much babysitting meant to update after my 3 days with the twins... which Im not sure if I can even remember what we did then but I do have very funny pictures from some places we went to. And I've want Himani, Eliana and Cora and Amelia.

Past Peds! I enjoyed it so much. I know thats where I want to be. I was at KU so you got a mix of everything and it didn't give me any clue as to where I want to go into with kids. That was the last 8 weeks of school. It was rough, I went through my worst episode of depression at the beginning and was ready to take a break from school but I think that would of made it worse. I am getting better though.

I am in OB currently. And Im not crazy over it, but my day of clinicals in Labor and Delivery was the best day so far. I got to do lots of new things. I watched alot and didnt pass out! One girl actually did, and when they made the phone call to my instructor they said "Nursing Student Down." But they didnt say a name, so everyone in Postpartum said "Thats Steph!" But HA it wasnt!

Highlights in my life lately...
-Blink 182 concert with My Chemical Romance... AMAZING. If you really know me, you know I have an sad obsession with Blink, almost like I was a tween with Bieber.
-Omaha trip with Josh, Stacy, Luther and Addi. I will load pictures later.
-New position at work... but the hours suck because They are the days Josh is off and the popular babysitting nights. = ( But more money for being at night and on the weekends! Yay!

I havent uploaded any of my pictures from my phone for several months. So Here is an older 1 of Addi with her first Slurpee.

Newest Edition

Josh traded in his Tahoe for a new FJ.

Busy Busy

I have been so busy. I have worked the last 10 days... and still have 5 more days to go before a few days off. And I am still doing babysitting in between. The new job is going good. Just trying to get in as much as I can before school starts because I am not sure how much I will work other than the weekends.

Addi and I have been having a good time the last few days. I put a alphabet train in her room, that she loves, shapes, color and number charts. But I am trying to read more to her and yesterday she didn't want to eat dinner, she rather me read to her, I thought it was so cute.

Addi has a big head! It's hard to get some shirts on and off of her.

On the Merry-go-Round at the mall.

We have a hard time wanting to leave each other sometimes.

Rootinest Tootinest Cowgirl

Addi will be turning 2 in a couple weeks. The theme is Toy Story because she is crazy about it. It all started by taking her to Toy Story on Ice. Josh's cousin is taking her 2 year pictures on Sunday, and my cousin Lesley made Addi her own Jessie outfit. Lesley had made her own jessie outfit the year before for Halloween for her job.

Today we went to the Disney Store to pick up Jessie boots they had. She had to wear them around the mall.

And here is the outfit she will be wearing for part of her pictures and at her birthday party!

Sweeepy Kids

The other night when I was with Lindsay and Gabriel, Kelly told me bedtime could be at 8 because they were so worn out.

Well, Gabriel fell asleep at the kitchen table waiting for me to cook dinner. And Lindsay fell asleep watching Peter Pan.

Gabriel was not going to put up with any nonsense and when Lindsay was playing with her food, G told her to stop playing with her food and eat it!

Having to give the kids separate baths now, I took L up after she fell asleep so incase she fell asleep again I could carry her to bed. She asked if I had noticed the new shower curtain. I said I had and that they had lots of new things in the kitchen. I said the counters, dishwasher, she said sink and then I said oven. She started laughing, and said that was funny because they didn't get a new oven. It tricked me and she would go look downstairs to see if it tricked her too and see if it looks new.

They were drooped all over me while reading bedtime stories and they were out like a light by 7:45. Hopefully they didn't wake up too early the next morning, I tried to keep them awake as long as possible for that reason!

Big sisters are life savers!

Probably a month ago I watched Cora, and for the first time Amelia.

Amelia and I laid on a blanket on the grass while watching Cora play in the yard. Amelia fell back and she started crying. I decided it was time to go inside. She wouldn't stop crying. I didn't think she hit her head very hard when she fell back, but I guess it was a mixture of lots of things, like me being a stranger, her hurting herself, her being tired and hungry. But she just wouldn't stop crying. Cora and I tried everything to make her happy. We tried all the tricks I was told to try. It was a little early but I got her bottle ready and tried to feed her. Cora the amazing singer she is, started singing "Puff the magic dragon" to her, and it worked! She settled down a bit while her bottle was warming up. But she didn't want her bottle. Cora suggested we tried to feed her upstairs. She ate a little and was still fussy. I got her to burp. I felt bad for not being able to play with Cora. She had a list of things she wanted to do with me. We walked around with Amelia singing to her and rocking her around. Finally she took the rest of her bottle. As I was burping her, it all came up. Not on her, all on me. Cora was just outside of the door and said "EWWWWWWW!" I told her not to look and to brush her teeth. When I finally got Amelia down it was time for Cora to go to bed.

Here is a picture of Cora singing to Amelia in the kitchen to calm her down.

Hopefully the next time I get to watch them, it goes a lot better!

Long time no see

Well this summer has been crazy! Summer school, babysitting and for some reason I feel more busy than I was when I was taking nursing classes. I have stories from babysitting and pictures I will be adding

I have been sick since Monday... and finally feeling okay to be out of bed so I figured I would update.

Has anyone watched Lost? Josh and I just recently got into it... We are watching it on Netflix. Everyone said how crazy and confusing it is. I wondered what they were talking about, but now we are in season 3 and i am totally lost! Some say its a waste of time and the ending is disappointing. I hope not.

This summer I have been doing lots of crafts! I have several I am doing for Addison's 2nd birthday and my friend from nursing school is pregnant so I working on a cross stitched growth chart! very time consuming! I am teaching myself different patterns for dish cloths, because the same old thing was getting boring... here is my latest.

I love drummers

So I know I haven't updated on my babysitting lately... I have to load my pictures on the computer first.... but I figure I would share with you a new drummer, who in these videos are ages 4,5,6 and blows my mind....

1st one, my cousin showed me b/c she knew I loved Blink. This is "All the small things" He also does "Dammit" "Obvious" and "Go" by them.

Here is "Detroit Rock City" By Kiss

AC/DC "Rock and Roll aint noise pollution"

And last one I will leave you guys with... is Chop Suey by System of a Down. My 3rd favorite group.... that never tours... and when they do its in another state... I think it is so cute he has a Shrek shirt on. An old friend got me into this group when I was about 12. Josh's cousin last year asked me If i ever went through that "grunge phase"... And I guess I still haven't gotten out of it... if its a "phase" because I still like this kind of music 10 years down the road. Soooo I guess thats me.

and yes BTW I have a count down on the Blink/MCR concert 67 days.... I am still super stoked... and yes I am a nerd. <3

This kid does so much more... Rush, Led Zeppelin, Korn, Guns n Roses, The Who, Nine Inch Nails, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Michael Jackson
.
Just go to Youtube and put in Jonah Rocks or he has a website... www.jonahrocks.com

Crawfish 2011

On May 21st, our family had birthday party for Josh and Luther/ Family reunion for the Beard's.

We counted about 77 people came. And we had a quest list of 100, so not a bad turn out.

For some reason the pictures aren't in order.

We're the 3 best friends that anyone could have...

A couple of weeks ago I watched Lindsay, Gabriel and Himani. It was a lot of fun! They all play great together.
It was different seeing Himani actually play with kids. It has always just been me and her. It was so cute.
Last time I went over to the twins, Lindsay wanted to make ice cream sundaes, they had everything but the ice cream, so I stopped at Sheridan's and picked up 4 kid size sundaes for us, for after dinner.

I brought my nice camera to get good pictures. We played in the back yard for a long time. They decided to make me the bottom of a dog pile for about 20 minutes. Then I gave everyone a piggy back ride, i got my work out for the day. We ran inside so I could fix everyone some dinner. They played on the screened in patio. Lindsay and Himani made one of the chairs "Stephy's chair" And put all the pillows and blanket all on it. They didn't like it so much when Gabriel wanted to sit on it. After dinner Gabriel said his stomach hurt. I asked if it was a throw up hurt or a full from eating so much dinner hurt. He said both. So I said ok lets lay on the couch watch some TV and let our belly's settle before our dessert. Himani said her belly hurt too. I had a feeling she said this because she wanted to watch some TV too.

When it was time for ice cream, Gabriel still said he didn't feel good and didnt want his. He asked if he could take his bath and go to bed, he didn't have a good day at school. Eventually he did. Then they played tag and finally bath time. The twins wanted to sleep in their sleeping bags, and Himani was wondering where she would be sleeping. They were ready for a slumber party.

Meeting Eliana

It took me over a month to meet little Eliana. = ( Our schedules just didn't work out for a long time, with my constant studying and them always having family over. I never knew Himani that young, but I could see a big resemblance between the two.

I forgot my camera, but Ryan took some and sent them to me. It took her awhile to not cry while I was holding her. But she was locked on to my face after she ate and was happier. I made her a baby blanket, and they used it right away. I will upload a picture of it when I find it.

I am so excited to get to know her and can spoil her like I do with Himani. I got them both, big/little sister clothes. Himani was more into the puzzle magazines I get in the mail for her that I had a lot saved up for her. Josh and her did some of the puzzles while I held Eliana.

Goodnight Himani

I got the best phone call tonight. Himani called to tell me goodnight after her bath. I have been so busy with school, and now everyone in my house has been sick for almost a month now, even Addi. She was the one they all got it from. Usually I get everyone sick, but I am the only one thats hanging by a thread trying to stay healthy, but its not looking good.

Anyways, we talked about her dentist visit and what she got from them, and how she is helping out being a good big sister, and how she's enjoying her cousin being in town.

Still haven't met Eliana. Pretty bummed = ( but hopefully I won't get sick and willbe able to soon!

This is probably the longest we have been apart from each other.

Thank you for calling Himani! I miss you!

Previously at the Sinclair's...

It has been a while, but I've watched Gabriel and Lindsay every couple of weeks over the last couple months. I can't believe how much they have grown!
The night in March I watched them, they were so stoked to see me. We played and made tents, they each had their own and then they turned them into space ships.

These pictures are when they were in spaceship mode.
I tried really hard to tape them dancing and goofing off because they were being so good and funny that night, but every video turned into them talking about their bottoms. Those got deleted right away.

A couple of weeks ago I brought my Ipad to play with the cool "Photo Booth" app. here is what came of it... they had so much fun.

Later that night Gabriel was pretty out of control. I was singing Cops theme song, "Bad Boys" He had never heard of it before. After I stopped he started singing it, but he had his own version, it went like "Bad boys, bad boys, what are you doing?"

Disney On Ice

My friend had an extra ticket to Disney on Ice, so she asked me to go. THen at the last minute her family decided to go out of town. SO she let me take all four tickets and I invited my mom, sister and Addison. I spoiled her and bought her a Jessie hat, Jessie flag and Jessie snow cone cup. We weren't sure how well she would behave, but she sat their that whole time dancing and smiling and clapping. She loved it! We are stoked to take her to more shows.

I forgot how to load videos... again. But I have some cute 1s of her dancing.

Himani's 3rd birthday!!!!

Best friends Reunited!

I brought Addison to Himani's 3rd birthday party at Power Play. And just like I figured, they were all over each other. At first I think Himani was overwhelmed by the whole thing, but when I got her to give me a hug she started talking to Addi. They had a great time together. Stacy has better pictures of the 2 of them on her camera. This was just from my phone. When Himani started opening presents she wanted to stop and show Addison what she got. Then she received "The Hunger Caterpillar" book and brought it over and wanted me and her to read it then. The other kids thought she was going to slow so they all helped out with the present opening. We got out of there right before it was play time, because Addi needed a sleep and there was tons of kids there playing. Himani's cousin Gracie wanted to play with Addi and me too. She had never talked to me too much before, she was super adorable and helping Addi when she had a wardrobe malfunction.

Also, this was Addison's first birthday party she had went to for a friend! She didn't eat the cupcake like I thought she would, but she chugged some Sprite down though. She had a blast and looooved what was in the goodie bag. She acted like she was going to stick the eraser up her nose the whole way home until she decided to bit it off when we pulled up to the house. Goof.

Beginners' Luck

If you can't read what that ticket says, it says "$201.00"

That is my grandma Pat, my dads mom. And we all went to Argosy breakfast for my 22nd birthday. Then my whole family stayed and gambled, except Addison. It was so fun seeing my grandparents gambling. My grandparents on my mom side have slot machines at home that I have grown up playing and about 5 years ago got 2 new ones. ANYWAYS I have never known my grandma Pat to gamble. She sat with my dad at a penny slot for a while and put 5 bucks in, didn't win anything. Then my dad said, Ill give it one more shot, and walked to the dollar slots. I told him which slots Stacy and Luther pretty much win a big amount on every time. He ended up going to the one across from it, sat down and put a 20 in. Grandma Pat pulled out another $5 bill and hesitated for a while. Then she walked to the slot I told dad to go to. After a few seconds I turned around to see about grandma Pat and it was her second hit, the lights on the machine went crazy and the money just kept adding up. I yelled "Grandma you just won 201 dollars!" She said she was done and I pushed the "cash out" button for her real quick. And she went and cashed the ticket and was a happy camper! None of us can still believe it.

Tiger say Roar

Josh was suppose to surprise me and take me to the Omaha zoo for my birthday. But it decided to snow up there that weekend. SO he took off the weekend in my spring break and we went to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We stayed at Turpentine Creek, Wildlife Refuge. It is a non-profit org and takes care of exotic animals, mostly big cats when someone can't anymore. Most of the animals they have, they got from someone thinking they would make a nice pet, then they get to be 600 lbs and can no longer control them. Others have been harmed by their owners, some had their teeth ripped out, or raised in tiny cages.

It was so amazing seeing them so close up. Several of them had sad stories, but it was nice to see how well they were taking care of there. They had over 100 big cats. Since we stayed there, we had our own entrance to the park, and heard the cats roar at night while lying in bed. Our room we stayed, we had to sign a waiver saying no children was staying in it because it had over $1000 worth of artwork. But When looking at the price tags on all of them, it was around $6k. Some of the cats had smaller homes than others, we asked why. They said that a ideal habitat for them cost $22,000. So they pretty much just rely on donations and have to save enough to build more homes. It was a surprise to see that Wal-Mart and Tyson donate all of their meat and chicken. They go through 300,000lbs of it annually.

It was a great place and recommend it to anyone. It was a nice place to get away, even though I had to study on the car ride there. = /

crazy animal sounds

Stacy showed me this app one day she had downloaded for addi. The sounds the animals make are so funny. I had to record it. I figured out how to put it on youtube and then on here! im starting to get this internet stuff i guess!

enjoy!

Choca

Addi is out of control! Some funny things she has done or said recently.

When we ask what she wants to drink its "CHOCA!" for chocolate milk

She was rocking in her chair, fell flat on her face, looks up and says "Sh*t!"

A new word Josh taught her is "terd" She sounds like a french girl when she says it

We ask her who her favorite singer is she says "Usshher"

She is feeding herself now and one morning I gave her oatmeal. She cant stand being dirty or the tray being dirty. Every time she tried to take a bite she would spill some of it on her or the tray and she would say "Uh-Oh" and I would have to clean it up. Alot of work just for breakfast!

Tattoo Sisters

Himani and I had an unexpected day together last week and we got tattoos together! She put mine on all by herself and did an awesome job!

Tumble Class

Addison started Tumble class Tuesday. She just turned 18 months so she is in the parent and tot class. She could of been in Himani's class on Friday mornings, but Himani will soon be moving up and I didn't think either of them would pay attention to what they were suppose to be doing. She loves it, she loves doing her butterflies at home and rolling on her own. My mom took the pictures while I helped her, but she wanted the teacher to help her to things more than me.

Do Da Dipity

Last night I went and saw Himani. We missed each other so much! We played downstairs for a bit. She didn't want me to leave and wanted me to give her her bath. She really made me feel guilty for not doing it. Some cute things she said last night:

She was driving in her car. She pulls up by me and gets out "Whats wrong Stephy? Whats the matter? Are you ok?"

We were working on a puzzle. We heard someone coming down the stairs. "DONT COME DOWN HERE GUYS" She saw it was her dad and she tried to cover up what we were doing "Dad you can't be down here. Don't come down here."

"Stephy I want you to give me my bath." "Don't leave me Stephy."

We used teamwork turning out the lights in the basement. I gave her a piggyback ride around and she turned them off.

Awww I miss the little goose.

Here are 2 pictures she let me take of her last night. She didn't want to take any. And then ones lately of Addi and the animals.

Videos from Iphone

So I semi become smart. I figured out how to upload my videos from my iphone on here somewhat. You will have to click the video and then it will take you to picasa and show you the video.
This first video is Addi and her "clubhouse" my dad showed her in our kitchen. She loves going in there.
From videos

2nd one is of Addi and Josh eating her little puffs. Josh is teasing her and you really get a taste of her out of control hair! P.S Josh got some new glasses!
From videos

Sharing cheese puffs with Josh. She loves Josh. And just like Himani. Addi learned how to say Josh before Stephy =( O ya. Josh was making farting noises bc earlier she was making a funny face while josh was making the noise, we tried to record it.
From videos

Please forgive my horrible singing. This is Addi's favorite song. OMG by Usher. She takes after her mom dancing
From videos

Another favorite song of Addi's is Tik Tok by Ke$ha. Which sadly I am starting to like after I said how much it annoyed me. Thanks Addi

Photos by Denise

We decided to get photos taken for my moms 50th birthday. She had really been wanting us to get them done, so Josh called up his cousin and his wife took these for us. We went down to the west bottoms. We walked around a lot down there. Several of the pictures are actually taken in front of haunted houses. The ones with Josh and I are in front of the Edgar Alan Poe haunted house. There are some in front of graffiti, on a bridge (which my mom really wanted) and then in front of shipping containers, Josh has a fascination with them and wants to build a house out of them.

Christmas 2010

Christmas had to come early for us because everyone had to work late on Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day.

Himani loves checking out my new necklace. She keeps asking me "Why did Josh put that on your neck?" Cute

Addi's best present from us was the backpack. Her nickname should be backpack. She says it all the time, over and over. She always wears it and after she opened it she didnt take it off until it was time for bed.

Since you been gone

Himani and I haven't stayed too far apart since I haven't watched her everyday.

About a month ago Addison, my mom and I met up with Himani and Annie at Monkey Buziness. I met Annie the new nanny for the first time. She is so nice and pretty much exactly what I had in mind she would be. I felt someone good was taking over for me and I can really tell how much she is teaching Himani. Himani was super excited when she saw Addi. H is a hugger, Addi is not. Addi is a big kisser, H not as much. It was pretty funny watching them trying to fight each other off when they were doing this to the other. I noticed Addi did alot of things Himani use to do at her age. They both just loved to stop and watch the other kids. Himani couldnt get enough of Addison. I am not sure why b/c Addison has gone down a slide before but she tried to walk down them. She is a little dare devil and would do anything.

I have a hilarious video of Ad and H going down a slide on their tummy. Ad has probably never gone down on her belly and she didnt get the concept. Himani went down first then Addi tries to get up on all fours and falls forward and hits her head with a loud bang.I busted out laughing knowing she wasnt going to cry about it.

When I have time with just Himani we have been doing projects. For Halloween we made masks and foam silly people in costumes. Didn't do anything for Thanksgiving because she was in California going to Disneyland (I was jealous!) For Christmas we made a Gingerbread house. I slipped and said the gingerbread was a cookie. So she figured out everything we were putting on it you could eat. SO I told her the frosting was actually glue so we couldnt eat that part.

Last night when I watched her we played Just Dance 2, she showed me all of her new things she got for xmas, showed me her awesome new play area under the steps and cuddled in the hammock while playing with all my kid apps I had bought for her a long time ago on my phone.

Merry Christmas to me

Josh and I decided to buy us a fancy camera for Christmas... or about a month before Christmas. We agreed this would be our present to each other... and then on Christmas day he surprised me a with diamond heart necklace. = D

These are our first pictures taken on the camera. I have taken more than Josh and it was his idea. He says he needs to read the book about how to work it before he does.

The Time Has come the Walrus Said

When the last day with Himani was approaching I kept saying "The time has come the walrus said" over and over again in my head. I think it had something to do with a movie I use to watch when I was little. "Harriet the Spy" It was a nickelodeon movie and the girl in it, Harriet, had a nanny. The nanny and the little girl said this poem while the nanny was packing up her things when she knew it was time for her to go and move on with her life. Sad I know.

The last day with Himani was just a rough day. I had a bunch of stressful check off's at school. They ran late, like always. I decided not to put Himani down for a nap so we could play. Saying goodbye was hard. I think I got all my crying out the week before. So when it came time to leave, I just left. We had already made an arrangement to see each other within the next couple of weeks so I figured not to make leaving so hard.

These are some pictures from the last week. We went to Deanna Rose Farm, ate lots of ice cream and played with Addison.

FINALLY

I forgot how to upload pictures in a slide show but Ryan showed tonight after babysitting for them. So I have tons of pictures. From the last week being with Himani. And when I've seen her since, Addi with a new camera Josh and I bought and Christmas!

Update on me. I passed my first semester of Nursing School. It was a rough start but I ended doing really good. I had a great time with my clinicals. My first 10 weeks I was at Rose Hall, it was in Leavenworth and housed Sisters. It was worth the drive. The last 4 weeks I was at KUMED. I unit 53 which had a bunch of everything really. I gave 2 shots. So it was nice to get the first out of the way. I start my second semester 1/18 and it looks like this semester or at least the first 8 weeks are going to be unorganized... AGAIN because We have no clue where our clinical sites will be or when.

Again. Sorry for the long time of not updating. But I think I got it down and will keep it updated more often when I see Himani or Addi does something cute. It may take the next couple of days for me to add all my updates... but they are coming.
